TotalEnergies does its utmost to protect our employees, service providers, customers and local communities. Ensuring everyone’s health and safety is our core value from day to day. Intent on preventing fatal accidents, the Company has expanded the global rollout of the Our Lives First program with three practical initiatives: Life Saving Checks, Joint Safety Tours and the Safety Green Light. We have also updated the Golden Rules for safety following accidents logged at the Company in recent years and our analysis of their causes.

The Company has taken steps to make roads safer for everyone, everywhere, at all times. To give one example, E&P’s affiliate in Brazil has developed the Road Safety Education for the Next Generation program, part of a worldwide initiative spanning 36 countries that has brought road safety awareness to 300,000 young people aged 10 to 18. In Nigeria, TotalEnergies has signed a joint statement with Bourbon Interoil Nigeria promoting a joint safety culture.

The Company maintains open, transparent dialogue with all stakeholders, in order to create long-term value for local communities. In Angola, for example, the Company is seeking to give young people a pathway to top local and international universities. The Eiffel Schools program is a network of schools offering first-class education in four Angolan provinces.
